BEEHIVES PROJECT

BEEHIVES PROJECT

Kasupe introduced beekeeping in 2017 as an innovative environmental and economic initiative.

Initially starting with 10 hives and 5 trained caretakers, the project has grown to 23 hives, with 15 successfully colonised. Beekeeping helps prevent bushfires, supports biodiversity through pollination, and provides families with income from honey sales.

It also encourages the planting of trees and flowers, contributing to forest preservation and climate resilience.
