Kasupe, meaning ‘Fountain’ began with a simple but powerful belief: that every child, no matter where they are born, deserves the chance to learn, grow, and live with hope.

In the remote village of Chigonere, Malawi, children once walked miles just to reach a classroom – a challenge which Davy Chilakalaka, born and raised in this village, experienced as a child, first hand.

His journey from a small rural school to receiving a life-changing scholarship in the UK became the seed of something greater. Together with his wife Sally, he founded Kasupe to give back what he had once been given – providing the community with opportunities to thrive through education, empowerment, and sustainable development.

What started as a personal mission has grown into a lifeline for hundreds of children and families. From building schools and drilling boreholes to providing solar power and healthcare facilities, Kasupe is opening a new chapter of hope and lasting change.
